The Wiltshire Horn Sheep Society has since 1923 ensured the maintenance and development of the breed, promoting it at home and abroad and providing breeders, farmers and consumers with information and advice.

One third of the Council automatically retire on the 31st October of each year. Retiring Council Members may wish to put themselves forward for re-election. All members are invited to apply for Council Membership. If there are more applications than available Council places, then all parties standing for election are subject to a vote at the AGM in November of each year.
